Did you know that over 80% of what a child learns is visual?
Examination of a child’s visual status at often times requires special equipment and a special approach. Extra attention is made to make your child feel comfortable in our offices. With our “child friendly” approach, disorders such as lazy eye, crossed eyes, reduced visual acuity and reading problems may be accurately determined. We believe in prescribing glasses for children only when truly beneficial. We have a large selection of children’s frames, and we dispense high quality frames and lenses with “kid-tough” guarantees.
Dr. Matthew Ritter and Dr. Natalie McKee, are participating doctors in the “InfantSee” program. Through this public service program initiated by the American Optometric Association in 2004, a no-cost, no-billing eye assessment (that's right, it's FREE!) is provided for children up until the time they turn one year of age. Since its inception in 2004, our doctors have performed hundreds of infant eye exams.
