At your first visit to Ritter Hagee Optometry, your appointment will include a review of your medical and eye health history, vision testing, an evaluation of your eye health, eye pressure measurement, and any additional testing if needed. You will have time with the doctor to review findings, recommendations, and next steps, and our doctors take the time to explain results clearly and answer any questions you may have.
Please bring your current glasses and/or contact lenses, a list of current medications, your vision and/or medical insurance information, and a photo ID to your appointment. Completing forms ahead of time helps reduce wait times and allows us to focus on providing high-quality care during your visit. Some visits are routine vision exams focused on updating glasses or contact lens prescriptions and are typically billed to vision insurance, while other visits involve medical eye care, such as evaluation or management of conditions including glaucoma risk, diabetes-related eye disease, cataracts, dry eye, infections, or other eye health concerns, which are billed to medical insurance. Our staff is always happy to review your appointment type and insurance coverage with you.
